National Bank of Fujairah donates AED250,000 to HCT Fujairah
The National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) has donated AED 250,000 in support of Fujairah Higher Colleges of Technology’s (HCT) financial aid program.
The funds will go towards purchasing laptops and iPads for needy Emiratis enrolled at HCT for the new academic year.
HCT laptops and iPads are fully integrated with the college’s preparatory and career programs, without which enrolled students would not be able to access the curriculum. NBF’s donation covers all eligible financial aid applications for laptops and iPads this year.
Brian Keenan, Acting Director of HCT-Fujairah, said: “We are delighted to receive this donation from the National Bank of Fujairah. The donation is a clear statement of NBF’s commitment to nation building through supporting higher education opportunities for young nationals on the East Coast. On behalf of the students who will benefit from this gift, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to NBF for their generosity.”
Alan Maitland Smith, Head of Internal Audit and Chairman of NBF’s CSR Committee, said that NBF’s sponsorship aligns with the bank’s support of UAE’s Emiratisation efforts: “NBF is privileged to be at the forefront of the country’s development. With our support of HCT Fujairah’s student aid programme, we were able to not only contribute to the Fujairah community but reach out to a talented pool of Nationals as well, many of whom may very well be potential leaders for the bank.”
