Media at HCT, covers a wide range of platforms and mechanisms utilizing the traditional media and New Media alike. This includes a broad spectrum of channels such as broadcast and print media outlets, videography and photography; to newer digital formats, such as social media platforms and community journalism. These are all relevant tools, leveraged and embedded by HCT to communicate with its internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.
The HCT communication and media strategies are in line with the HCT 4.0 Strategy, as well as HCT’s Vision, Mission and Values. The strategies are overseen and implemented primarily by the HCT Communication Department, in conjunction with other key departments and stakeholders within HCT. These strategies are based on the key role of the Department to share, promote, publish and disseminate HCT activities and initiatives to both internal stakeholders and the broader demographic of external stakeholders, such as Governmental departments and agencies, commercial and industry partners, and the broader community, in general. The communication and media strategies therefore help to solidify and disseminate, in a clear and concise fashion, the key messages and information being conveyed by HCT at any given time or occasion. In addition, this messaging upholds the values of objectivity, clarity, transparency and accountability.
