The Higher Colleges of Technology engages with a number of high-profile national and multinational organizations in mutually beneficial partnerships. It is continuously establishing active and dynamic links, collaborations and relationships with major companies and organizations in the UAE and with many of the world’s leading universities and organizations.
As a result, HCT is playing a major role in meeting the needs of the UAE economy, and the local workforce and community. These partnerships lead to successful knowledge transfers, education program co-designing, and best practice sharing, as well as facilitating employment, apprenticeship and work placement opportunities for HCT students and recent graduates.
The Employability and Knowledge Economy Sector (EKE) – represented by the Partnerships Management Department (PRTM) is responsible for overseeing these partnerships and collaborations. It also ensures students and graduates are given all possible opportunities to explore and develop their career opportunities, through employment, sponsorships, apprenticeships and work placement, in addition to applied research projects that focus on providing solutions for industrial problems.
Through close interaction with its industry partners, HCT continuously strives to enhance its program offerings and the HCT students’ academic experiences. HCT’s partnerships with industry members open up unique opportunities for students and staff, increase the quality of HCT research initiatives, improve teaching and learning standards, and inspire innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives and endeavors.
