In line with the direction and initiatives of our wise leadership aimed at boosting the readiness of Emiratis for the future, the HCT 4.0 strategic plan was launched, based on the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Through the achievement of its vision, the HCT has maintained its status as the leading largest applied higher education institution in the UAE since more than 30 years ago in empowering generations to contribute to shaping the future of the UAE and providing academic and applied programmes that equip students with the in-demand knowledge and skills in line with the international standards with the aim of meeting the UAE community and industry needs.

HCT appointed as one of the Lead Centers of UNESCO’s inaugural UNEVOC Network Coaction Initiative, to lead a global project entitled “Future Foresight Institutional Capacity for Post COVID-19 World”.
HCT celebrated the graduation of its students across its 16 campuses at Expo 2020 Dubai over four consecutive days. Around 4,000 male and female students celebrated this momentous achievement at this remarkable global event.
The HCT established the first Global Applied Education Network (GAEN) consisting of seven international applied education institutions, in addition to the Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences, which comprise 24 experienced institutions in the area of Applied Education.

The first higher education institution in the UAE to incorporate volunteer hours in its curriculum as a mandatory graduation requirement for HCT students. To date, students have completed over one and a half million volunteer hours.
The first educational institution to launch the “LEQA” initiative, which is the first of its kind in the region, aimed at creating a generation of entrepreneurs through a series of events that connects successful entrepreneurs with student entrepreneurs. The idea behind the initiative is to inspire students’ imagination towards starting their own business.
The first educational institution to launch the “SANAD” program for graduates’ employment, targeting fresh graduates to enable them to acquire vital workplace experience and to find job opportunities in the labor market.
The HCT received accreditation from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), UK’s global leader in quality assurance for higher education for a period of five years until 2025.

he HCT signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE), in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to provide training and upskilling for 18,000 Emirati students through the National Training Program during the next three years.

The first educational institution to complete for than one million distance online teaching hours during a one-month period by providing more than 41,000 distance learning online classes to students.
