Problem or Opportunity Description
This project aims to simplify plant care for both household and outdoor farming, where it can be a complex task, with varying needs for different plant species including watering, light exposure, and specific soil conditions. Without careful and constant monitoring plant health can be compromised, leading to overwatering, underwatering, or incorrect light exposure, often resulting in unhealthy or even dead plants.
Proposed Solution
This project aims to simplify plant care in household and outdoor farming situations by engaging with advanced sensors and IoT solutions to provide precise monitoring and intelligent automation. As a result, the system ensures that plants not only survive but thrive, all while reducing the traditional burdens of caregiving, such as overwatering, underwatering, or incorrect light exposure.
Rationale for Featuring in COP 28
This solution aligns with COP28 goals of promoting sustainable practices and reducing carbon emissions. Vertical farming, combined with eco-friendly and sustainable plant care made through 3D printing technology, can contribute to a more sustainable future by maximizing crop yield in a limited space while minimizing environmental impact.
