Problem or Opportunity Description
A global challenge for waste-water treatment is the elimination of complex pollutants, such as heavy metals, dyes, emerging organic contaminants (EOCs) and oils. Existing biological and chemical waste-water treatments don’t fully eliminate these pollutants, causing negative impacts on humans and the environment
Proposed Solution
This interdisciplinary research involves advances in Material & Physical Sciences, Engineering, Microbiology and Environmental Science to develop a superior polymer composite for enhanced waste water treatment.
