The emergence of climate change, the fourth industrial revolution, and the global COVID-19 pandemic has initiated substantial transformations within the education landscape, underscoring the crucial need for the integration of digital technology. Within this context, our ClimaQuest application has been purposefully crafted to harness the potential of gamification and flipped classroom methodologies, with the goal of enriching students’ understanding of climate change. The central aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating ClimaQuest into a higher education environment. Consequently, the research outcomes substantiate that digital technology serves as an invaluable tool for enhancing student learning and nurturing a heightened awareness of climate change within the contemporary educational paradigm.
