Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Attend HCT–Sharjah Graduation Ceremonies

Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler’s Office, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development, attended the graduation ceremonies of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) – Sharjah Campuses, Class of 2025, held under the theme “HCTians Go Beyond.” The ceremonies took place at University City Hall and celebrated the graduation of students from the Applied Bachelor’s and Vocational Diploma programs.

Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdulrahman attended the morning ceremony, where he presented certificates to 464 graduates from the Applied Media, Engineering Technology & Science, and Business programs. He congratulated the graduates on their academic achievements, joined them for a group photo, and graciously received a commemorative gift from the Higher Colleges of Technology in recognition of his presence on the occasion.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid attended the evening ceremony, where he presented certificates to 473 graduates from the Health Sciences, Computer Information Science, and Education programs. He congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments, joined them for a group photo, and received a commemorative gift from HCT in appreciation of his attendance.

Dr. Faisal Alayyan, President and CEO of the Higher Colleges of Technology, delivered a speech in which he praised the wise leadership’s visionary approach to building human capacity through education of the highest standards and a forward-looking vision that anticipates future needs. He also commended the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, whose guidance continues to advance the emirate’s comprehensive and sustainable development. Dr. Alayyan noted that this vision places human capital at the center of progress by empowering youth and reinforcing Sharjah’s status as a beacon of work, creativity, and innovation, and as a vibrant center of civilization that harmoniously blends authenticity with modernity.

Highlighting HCT’s strategic vision, Dr. Alayyan emphasized the institution’s aspiration to be a leading center of applied sciences and a distinguished model of Emirati excellence on the global stage. He underscored HCT’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a dynamic, future-ready educational ecosystem that anticipates workforce needs while fostering the values of honor, courage, and trust.

Dr. Alayyan concluded by congratulating the graduates and their families on this significant milestone, encouraging them to remain dedicated to hard work, innovation, and excellence as they embark on their professional journeys.

The ceremonies featured a unifying display of pride as graduates from all programs recited the Pledge of Allegiance, reaffirming their loyalty to the UAE and its leadership. They pledged to uphold the nation’s security and stability, adhere to the Constitution and the law, and fulfill their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.

Issa Al Shamsi, a Business graduate, expressed his gratitude on behalf of his fellow graduates to the UAE leadership for its unwavering support and continued investment in education. He also extended his appreciation to the HCT faculty for their dedication, and to parents for their constant care and encouragement throughout the students’ academic journey.

Omar Mahmoud Al Johari, a Computer Information Science graduate, expressed his appreciation to the leadership for empowering Emirati youth. He also offered heartfelt thanks to HCT’s academic and administrative staff for their guidance and support, and paid tribute to parents, acknowledging their vital role in every graduate’s success.
