Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi Attends Graduation of HCT-Sharjah Students
Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office, attended the graduation ceremony of 648 students from the Higher Colleges of Technology’s (HCT) Sharjah Campuses, Class of 2024, under the theme "Empowering Minds, Creating Future".
The ceremony took place at the University City Hall and was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mu'alla, Executive Director of Umm Al Quwain Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation; Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Director General of Citizens Affairs Office in Ajman; Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr. Ali Ibrahim Al Marri, Chairman of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre; Dr. Faisal Alayyan, President and CEO of Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT); a number of dignitaries and senior officials; HCT teaching & administrative staff, and graduates’ parents and families.
Dr. Faisal Alayyan, HCT President and CEO, delivered a speech on behalf of the HCT Board of Trustees, expressing his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the UAE’s wise leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his brothers, Their Highnesses the members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, for their unlimited support of HCT, which has significantly enhanced its success in producing high-quality, competent professionals.
Dr. Alayyan emphasized that youth are the energy of the future and that empowering them with science, knowledge, and technological skills is fundamental for comprehensive development, in line with the vision of the wise leadership. He highlighted that today, HCT celebrates the graduation of a new cohort of the nation’s youth, numbering 648 graduates, who have successfully completed their studies and earned their certificates with merit, and that they are now ready to contribute to development and serve the nation.
Graduate Hessa Omar Al Ali delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, noting that they are now standing on the threshold of a new phase, ready to move with firm steps toward the future, inspired by the wise words of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She emphasized that youth are the pillars of development and the leaders of tomorrow, encouraging everyone to make this day the beginning of a never-ending success story for the sake of the nation.
During her speech, Al Ali expressed her thanks and appreciation to the parents who were the best support for their sons and daughters during their studies, and to the teachers who provided all the academic support and guidance to the students, which contributed to their arrival at this happy moment.
The celebratory ceremony concluded with Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi presenting certificates to the graduates in their specializations of Engineering Technology & Science, Health Sciences, Computer Information Science, Business, Applied Media, and Education, followed by a commemorative group photo.
