RAK Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Attends Graduation Ceremony of 333 HCT-RAK Students

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the graduation ceremony of 333 male and female students of the HCT-Ras Al Khaimah campuses.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and HCT Chancellor, Dr. Faisal Alayyan, HCT President & CEO, Maryam AlHafeet, Executive Director of HCT- Ras Al Khaimah campuses, dignitaries and senior officials, HCT teaching and administrative staff, and graduates’ parents and families.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud extended thanks to, and appreciation for, UAE’s leadership, headed by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for their continuous support and encouragement for the success of Emirati students.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the graduates, stressing they will be a huge addition to the country’s development, particularly on the journey towards the UAE Centennial in 2071. Supported by a leadership committed to enhancing the stature of UAE citizens.

The RAK Crown Prince said the graduation of this cohort, trained in vital specializations and fields, is additional evidence of the HCT’s excellence, that, over its long journey, has provided the country with cadres to meet the needs of each Emirate to develop and implement its projects and development plans.

Dr. Faisal Alayyan, HCT President and CEO, congratulated the graduates and extended thanks and appreciation for UAE President, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and HH Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for their unlimited support of HCT. This support has empowered HCT to take a leading role in graduating competent Emiratis and providing the labor market with more than 70,000 highly qualified graduates.

On behalf of the HCT’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Alayyan announced the graduation of the 333 HCT-RAK Men’s and Women’s students, comprised of 70 male graduates and 263 female graduates. They form part of the 2022 cohort of HCT graduates, which totals 3,344 male and female graduates.

On behalf of her fellow graduates, HCT-RAK graduate Nouf Juma Altaweel expressed their great joy at the graduation, extending their thanks and gratitude to the leadership for their continuous and unlimited support, and their appreciation to their parents and teachers for their efforts and support during their studies. She stressed that the graduates will work to be a source of pride for their country, leaders and families.

The graduates then performed the Pledge of Allegiance to express their loyalty and devotion to their country and its leaders, and their commitment to contribute to building the future of the UAE.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud awarded the "scarf of pride" to the parents of distinguished graduates Salem Jassim Al Zaabi and Wafaa Salem Al Yamahi, who achieved the highest GPAs in the HCT-RAK Men’s and Women’s campuses, respectively. This was part  of HCT’s initiative to honor parents who support their sons and daughters to achieve academic excellence. The Crown Prince, accompanied by H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar and Dr. Faisal Alayyan, presented the graduates with their certificates and posed for a commemorative group photo with the graduates.

Maryam Al Hafeet, Executive Director of HCT- Ras Al Khaimah campuses, was greatly pleased to celebrate the new cohort of HCT- Ras Al Khaimah graduates, expressing her that over 78% of graduates are female, which reflects the role of HCT in qualifying and preparing Emirati women for the future in various vital disciplines.

She congratulated all graduates on their success and excellence, as well as their parents for their support and encouragement. She added her deep appreciation for HCT’s teaching and administrative staff for their pivotal role in empowering students, both academically and technically.

Maryam Al Hafeet noted the graduates who have successfully established their own startups through the HCT InnCuVation Spaces, including the one based at RAK campuses, which incubate students’ innovative ideas and projects to nurture and develop them into startups.
