Mother of the Nation Congratulates 2021 Batch of HCT Female Graduates

H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and the "Mother of the Nation", congratulated the 2021 batch of HCT female graduates as “Future Makers”, wishing them every success in their various fields of science and in their future employment.

The graduation ceremony of 622 female engineering students, held at the EXPO 2020 Dubai precinct, was held at an auspicious time, coinciding with fifty days of celebrations for the UAE’s50th National Day.

Sheikha Fatima’s message of congratulations was presented on her behalf by Sheikha Dr. Mouza bint Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, who attended the graduation ceremony. Sheikha Dr. Mouza said: "On behalf of the Mother of the Nation, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, I convey her congratulations to you on this great achievement and her wishes of a brighter future to you."

"As we celebrate today the graduation of the future female engineers, we extend our thanks and gratitude to the Mother of the Nation, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak for her continuous support to women's empowerment and development,” she continued.

"Holding the celebration at Expo 2020 Dubai, this global event hosted by the UAE, came to demonstrate to the world the distinct status of women in the UAE, and the accomplishments they have achieved, thanks to the vision of our wise leadership. We are proud that women make up 60 percent of the workforce in the UAE," she added.

Sheikha Dr. Mouza thanked UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, for their continuous support.

Sheikha Dr. Mouza expressed her thanks and appreciation to the HCT, being a time-honored institution, which over the past 33 years has produced qualified national talents for the labor market, ready for the future. She also extended thanks to the graduates’ parents for their support and giving. She congratulated the graduates, urging them to advance with their knowledge, experience and creativity towards the next centennial, as they are the hope and future of the nation.

Sheikha Dr. Mouza praised the female graduates on their decision to engage their knowledge, experience and creativity towards the centenary of the hope and future of the nation.

On behalf of the HCT’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Aisha Abushelaibi, Director of the HCT-Dubai campuses, thanked Sheikha Dr. Mouza for honoring the Engineering female students’ graduation ceremony with her attendance.

Dr. Aisha also expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for their continued and unlimited support for the HCT, which has enabled the colleges to undertake its supreme role of qualifying national talents.

On behalf of the HCT’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Aisha announced the graduation of 622 female graduates from the Faculty of Engineering Technology & Science, who make up the “Future Makers” graduating class of 2021, which totals 3,848 male and female graduates.

The female Engineering graduates were overjoyed at graduating in the presence of Sheikha Dr. Mouza at Expo 2020. They thanked all faculty and staff who supported their success at HCT and their parents.
