Mohammed Al Sharqi Attends Graduation Ceremony for 535 Graduates from The Higher Colleges of Technology in Fujairah

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, emphasized the importance of empowering youth through education, and future-ready skills that  enhance their readiness for evolving job markets, and enable them to innovate, create, and lead as the next generation of changemakers contributing to the nation’s comprehensive development.

This came during His Highness’s attendance at the graduation ceremony of 535 students from the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Fujairah, held at the Zayed Sports Complex in the emirate. His Highness highlighted the unwavering support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, for advancing education in the Emirate and strengthening the role of educational institutions in human development. He reaffirmed His Highness’s focus on investing in youth as a key priority in shaping the nation’s future and sustaining its growth.

His Highness presented graduation certificates to the students holding Applied Bachelor's degrees and Professional Diplomas in discplines including Health Sciences, Applied Media, Computer Information Science, Engineering Technology and Science, Business Administration, , and Education.

He congratulated the graduates on their success and academic achievements, encourgaing them to continue learning, develop their skills, and keep pace with emerging trends to play an active role in driving progress and transformation. His Highness also commended the efforts of  HCT’s administrative and academic staff, and the graduates' parents and families for their valuable support in helping them achieve outstanding results.

In his remarks, His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, expressed his profound appreciation of the esteemed presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, at the institution’s graduation ceremony. He underscored that this gracious gesture exemplifies His Highness's unwavering commitment to supporting education, fostering academic excellence and inspiring youth to actively engage in the nation’s developmental trajectory.

His Excellency congratulated the graduates, expressing his pride and appreciation for their efforts. He noted that they represent a model of academic excellence within an educational system that focuses on practical application and future skills, and serve as a model for national competencies capable of innovation, competition and contributing to building a sustainable knowledge economy.

His Excellency Dr. Al Falasi added: "At the Higher Colleges of Technology, we continue to enhance our educational system, ensuring it is adaptable and proactive in responding to the rapid changes in the labour market. This is achieved through strategic investments in technology and artificial intelligence, as well as by strengthening partnerships with various economic sectors. Our goal is to graduate qualified generations who are equipped to contribute to the realisation of the We the UAE 2031 vision and the UAE Centennial 2071 plan.”

In his speech during the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President & CEO of HCT, said, "On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the UAE’s wise leadership for their unlimited support for HCT, which has enabled it to successfully fulfill its mission of preparing students and graduating distinctive national competencies."

Dr. Al Ayyan also commended the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, which has guided the Emirate to achieve significant accomplishments in human, cultural, and economic development, with a strong emphasis on human  empowerment. He highlighted the importance of investing in national talent in line with the UAE’s vision of building an innovative, knowledge-based society that is in step with global progress.

Dr. Al Ayyan underscored HCT’s strategic vision, which focuses on driving academic excellence and boosting graduate employability. This vision is built around developing a dynamic educational ecosystem prepared to anticipate and adapt to future workforce trends, while fostering a supportive community that cultivates confidence, ambition, and a strong sense of belonging.

Speaking on behalf of the graduates, graduate Maryam Hasan Al Samahi expressed profound gratitude to the UAE’s wise leadership for its ongoing support of Emirati youth and for providing them with the best opportunities for growth and empowerment. She extended special thanks to the HCT and its faculty memebers for their dedication in imparting knowledge and preparing students for the job market, while conveying deep appreciation to parents and families whose encouragement and support made this achievement possible.

The HCT Fujairah Campuses graduation ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of H.H. the Crown Prince of Fujairah; H.E. Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President & CEO of HCT; Ms. Mona Al Mteiri, Executive Director of HCT Fujairah Campuses; a number of senior figures and officials; parents and families of the graduates; and members of the academic and administrative bodies.
