H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and HCT Chancellor, extended his deepest thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership of the UAE for their unlimited support of HCT. As a result, HCT has reinforced its success over 34 years and has been empowered to effectively undertake its mandated role of qualifying skilled national cadres. Consequently, HCT has provided the labor market with more than 70,000 highly qualified graduates who have contributed to the country’s national development in their various professional and leading positions.

H.E. Dr. Al Awar congratulated the graduates of the class of 2022, expressing his pride and confidence in their ability to make a real contribution to the labor market and to become leaders in their respective fields. He said this was especially the case as the graduates are fully aware of the magnitude of future challenges and the high level of competitiveness among the workforce. Coupled with this is the understanding that the graduates are realizing the country’s leadership’s visions and ambitions that prioritize their advancement and believes in their abilities to make a better future for themselves and future generations.

His Excellency added that HCT is always working to graduate qualified national cadres with future skills to be always the first and best choice for the labor market. He noted that, today, HCT graduates possess international professional certificates, accredited by international awarding bodies, along with their academic degrees, as all programs are linked to internationally accredited professional certificates. As a result, all students have the opportunity to obtain these certificates based on their specializations.

During the previous academic year (September 2021 to September 2022) the number of graduates with professional certificates has risen to approximately 86%.

H.E. Dr. Al Awar expressed his pride in HCT graduating startups through the HCT InnCuVation Spaces, which commenced in 2019 following the UAE Government’s directives. This far-reaching initiative has reinforced the culture of entrepreneurship among students and prompted them to consider establishing their own businesses while at HCT, which offers a nurturing and supportive environment for innovations.

His Excellency pointed out that HCT’s system of graduating companies and entrepreneurs is expanding, to create a foundation of Emirati entrepreneurs, who are able to compete locally and globally with their innovations and thus to contribute to economic growth. He noted that the UAE considers SMEs as a major strategic direction to support productivity and drive the economy.
