H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Al Sharqi Attends Graduation of 293 HCT Students in Fujairah
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has highlighted the significant role of higher education institutions in fostering innovative thinking and providing academic and practical support to young people, empowering them to participate and contribute to the UAE's progressive and pioneering endeavors, across all spheres of development.
His Highness’s statement was made during his speech at the graduation ceremony of 293 male and female students at the Higher Colleges of Technology’s (HCT) Fujairah Campuses.
The ceremony, for the 2023’s "Today's Leaders for Tomorrow" cohort, took place at Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall in Fujairah, and was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director-General of the Fujairah E-Government; Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi; H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Adviser to His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah; H.E. Dr Abdulrahman Al-Awar, UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and HCT Chancellor; Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court; Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah; Dr. Faisal Alayyan, HCT President & CEO; Dr. Abdullah Al Suwaiji, Executive Director of HCT- Fujairah Campuses; as well as dignitaries and senior officials, HCT teaching & administrative staff, and graduates’ parents and families..
H.H. the Crown Prince noted the Fujairah government's commitment to promoting educational excellence in higher education institutions throughout the Emirate, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah and Member of the UAE’s Supreme Council, to implement the highest academic program standards, ensure the attainment of strategic objectives that will enhance UAE's global standing and competitiveness in education, and drive comprehensive development at the international level.
The Crown Prince awarded graduation certificates to students from various specializations, congratulating them on their remarkable academic achievements. He urged them to apply their knowledge and expertise in serving the country and shaping its future, while also stressing the importance of ongoing learning and the development of their personal and professional skills.
The ceremony commenced with a video presentation entitled "Shaping the Future," which showcased the outstanding programs and accomplishments of the HCT in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Dr. Faisal Alayyan, HCT President & CEO, delivered a speech on behalf of the HCT Board of Trustees, noting that the HCT's "Shaping the Future" strategic vision is to stay up-to-date with the developments in the labor market, reinforcing HCT's leadership in practical education. He said strategy’s objective is to produce Bachelor degree and Diploma graduates who can work collaboratively with government and private institutions to enhance their knowledge and skills, making them the most sought-after candidates in the job market.
In a speech delivered on behalf of their fellow graduates, Widad Obaid Saeed Al-Zaabi and Ahmed Salem Al-Awash expressed their joy at their accomplishments, expressing gratitude to all who supported them along the way, and affirming their readiness to enter the labor market and contribute effectively to their nation-building process.
