DMC Honours 300 Students for Outstanding Academic Achievements
Three hundred high-achieving students from the HCT-Dubai Men’s College (DMC) have been honoured for their outstanding academic results for the first semester of the current academic year.
The students were congratulated at a ceremony attended by Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi, HCT Vice Chancellor, Dr Hashim Al Zaabi, DMC Director, and DMC students, faculty and staff.
In his address, Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi expressed HCT’s pride in the outstanding students, affirming HCT’s keenness to create plans for investing in its students, so as to prepare them to become tomorrow’s leaders.
He urged the students to continue their endeavors which will empower them to serve their country with education and knowledge.
He further praised their efforts in achieving high GPAs and recognized the contributions by faculty and staff in enhancing student performances and developing their skills and competencies so as to encourage them to produce innovative ideas and projects which will benefit society.
Dr Hashim Al Zaabi, DMC Director, said the students were recognized for achieving GPAs between 3.6 and 4.0 in the first semester of the current academic year. He expressed his pride in their distinction, hoping that they would act as role models for their peers.
Dr Al Zaabi reiterated DMC’s commitment to providing a stimulating learning experience for its students especially at the level of applied skills and project implementation. He added this will help HCT achieve its main goal of providing quality graduates so that it becomes the number one choice for employers.
Student Bitti Al Shamsi, DMC Student Council President, gave a speech where he expressed his pride in being a HCT student that championed student distinction.
As part of the ceremony the students took an allegiance oath for their country and its wise leadership.
