Awqaf Dubai and HCT Partner to Empower Students and Drive Endowment Awareness
The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation (Awqaf Dubai) and the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reflecting both parties’ commitment to enhancing joint cooperation and developing strategic partnerships in areas of shared interest, contributing to the advancement of the education sector and the empowerment of national talent.
The agreement aims to solidify collaboration and the exchange of expertise across educational programs and initiatives. By integrating endowment principles with the academic sector, the partnership supports Dubai’s overarching sustainable development goals.
Under the terms of the MoU, Awqaf Dubai will provide support to eligible HCT students, in addition to organizing awareness and educational workshops centered on the concept of Endowment and its vital developmental role in serving the community. These sessions are designed to instill an endowment culture among students and enhance their understanding of social responsibility.
Furthermore, the partnership includes practical training opportunities for HCT students within Awqaf Dubai and potential employment opportunities for graduates based on the foundation’s requirements and available openings. This initiative ensures that students are ready for the labor market by blending academic knowledge with hands-on professional experience.
His Excellency Ali Al Muttawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, stated: "This partnership reflects our commitment to building effective relationships with leading educational institutions, stemming from our belief in the importance of investing in human capital and empowering youth with knowledge and experience."
"Through this collaboration, we aim to support eligible students in their academic journeys while highlighting the endowment’s role as a sustainable development tool that serves the community and generates long-term positive impact. This partnership is part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community partnerships and reinforce the role of endowments in supporting education and empowering future generations.”
His Excellency Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President & CEO of the Higher Colleges of Technology, emphasized that this collaboration reinforces the academic support systems that the colleges strive to establish, ensuring the sustainability of students’ educational journey and enhancing their opportunities for academic and professional excellence.
He added: "This partnership represents an important step toward embedding a culture of endowment and social responsibility within our students, aligning with HCT’s mission to prepare national talent that combines professional competence with community values."
His Excellency Dr. Al Ayyan further noted that HCT views national partnerships as a cornerstone of an integrated educational environment that academically supports students and equips them with practical skills aligned with the demands of the evolving job market.
