Bachelor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Program Description

Business students in Logistics and Supply Chain Management will learn to efficiently integrate the flow of materials, finances, and information from suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers to the final customer and back again.

Graduates from this program will gain planning and organizational skills, quantitative and analytical skills, contract negotiation and information technology related skills as they learn the science of managing global operations.

Graduates with a degree in logistics and supply chain management will be able to seek employment with a wide range of industries including manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, transportation, retail, petroleum and the healthcare industry.

In addition to the core Logistics and Supply Chain Management qualification, the program offers a concentration in Procurement.

For the Procurement concentration, students take Ð SLM 4033, SLM 4103, SLM 4113, SLM 4123 and QMT 4053 elective courses.

Upon the successful completion of 117 credits, students may commence their Research Project (SLM 4203).

Students are eligible for a one year Work Experiential Learning experience during their study.

Program Goals

To develop graduates who possess the

  • Current knowledge and understanding of key areas of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management field, their interrelationship and application.
  • Ability to use the Logistics and Supply Chain Management tools, think critically, and conduct applied research.
  • Necessary key success skills in business.
  • In depth knowledge of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management field and its interrelationship and application across business environments.

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of functional business areas. 
  2. Utilize tools to solve problems in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. 
  3. Conduct research, evaluate arguments, concepts, and data in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  4. Demonstrate self-development and the ability to work independently and in teams.
  5. Apply ethical principles to decisions made in global and local contexts, including issues related to sustainability and societal responsibility.
  6. Utilize effective oral and written Arabic and English communication in business. 
  7. Apply business principles utilizing technology to various real-world situations.
