HCT Skills is an initiative by the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) aimed at empowering students by nurturing excellence in technical and vocational competencies across various disciplines. The program provides a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their talents, enhance hands-on abilities, and develop industry-relevant skills that align with the future needs of the UAE labor market.​

Through structured competitions, practical training, and real-world challenges, HCT Skills encourages innovation, critical thinking, and a spirit of healthy competition. It plays a key role in preparing a skilled and future-ready workforce by bridging the gap between academic learning and workplace expectations​.

The HCT Skills Competition 2025 is the flagship event celebrating the Higher Colleges of Technology’s commitment to developing a future-ready, highly skilled generation of Emirati professionals.​

Taking place from 19–21 November 2025, the competition brings together the most talented HCT students to showcase their abilities across diverse skill areas, from Technology, Engineering, and Aviation to Energy, Healthcare, Logistics, Creative Industries, Business, and beyond.​
